A Weird Soul: Sardarji Barah Baj Gaye

  • mannat · 4 years ago
Gaurav - I am a Sikh myself...but I don't think this story is true. I agree with all the fights that Sikhs did and saved many Hindu women, etc- but I don't think this story is why the '12 baje' thing started. It's just one of those jokes which has no origin. I think it came more from the saying...'tere chehre pe kyoon bara baje hue hain". Oh well...whatever the case may be - most of these jokes are hilarious and crack me down. Infact lately, it's only the 'sardar' jokes that make me laugh:)

Sharma ji. ever keep in mind the era of 18th century.

AGAR NA HOTE SARDAR. HINDU KO KOUN BACHATA YAAR
MUGLUON NE DENI THI GAND PHAAD, HINDUON KI NASAL NA HOTI BARKRAR, HINDUS WERE, ARE NOT ABLE TO SAVE THEIR MOTHERS AND SISTERS. HAVE YOU EVER CALCULATED THE MYRITAMS IN FREEDOM FIGHT FROM 1857 TO 1947. TELL ME PERCANTAGE OF TOTAL SIKH POPULATION AND PERCENTAGE OF THEIR CONTRIBUTION IN FREEING INDIA FROM ENGLISH GOVT.

Every single community in India is the butt of some jokes or the other. Wait a minute - every single community in the WORLD is.
Although it is very obvious that nobody wants to hurt Sikh sentiments with these jokes, one should stop if s/he is crossing the line, and I have never heard of a case where they have not stopped. It defeats the very purpose of humour.
Btw, Marwari jokes are spreading like wildfire these days, and they are much funnier than Sikh jokes, and Marwaris do not take them seriously either.
Randhir, although I deeply admire your passion towards our religion, I think there are some pro-Khalistan people in your family, and only then can you abuse your racially identical brothers AND ANCESTORS in the filthy way that you do.
Our contribution to the Indian freedom struggle has been legendary, but we are a warrior clan, and we never 'saved the Hindus' so that we could rub it in their face. That is not what a warrior does, it is something a mercenary does, and I assume you come from such a lineage, divorced from pure Sikhism.
It is people like Randhir that are, sadly, converting our Sikhism into the NEW ISLAM. Bhindranwale caused the entire problem by hiding in the golden temple - no army would have stormed Harmandir Sahib had he been man enough to protect the holy ground by fighting miles away from there. If you assassinate the head of a country, of course they will raid your community (innocents included)! Please look up the ANTI-BRAHMIN RIOTS and anti-maratha riots that followed M. Gandhi's assassination by a RSS extremist.
Please, Sikhs in the west have enough trouble being labelled as Jehadis because of our appearence, and we do not need people like Bhindranwale, Ripudaman Malik, Beant Singh, and Randhir to support that image. They are not Sikhs, and you can only imagine what our Gurus would have felt had they read Randhir's post.

Anyhow, if any Sikh brothers are reading this, please try not to become an extremist and support the extinction of our race. By extinciton I mean Islamization. We are as Indian as anyone in India, and there is no way or need to deny it.

Nice words Randeep. Being a muslim sometimes i also feel the same pain as urs. People like Randhir are present in every religion and they are far away from the basics of their religion. And basicallly these are the folks which get trapped into the hands of people who use them for false motives (like usage of muslim youth in Kashmir). I request everybody to understand your religion thoughrouly, then communal hormony will automatically come among us. Because its not the religion who commits crime but the so called followers, who ruin the image.

Very great words syed and Randeep. I'm a Hindu living in America. We also have our share of terrorists, and those who commited those terrible crimes in 2002, 1993, 1984, and the RSS. The Khalistani, RSS, or the terrorists in Kashmir don't represent our religions. We're all Indian. We all may pray in a different way, we may talk in different langauges, but we're all Indian. And we can all come together to form a better India, and get rid of the religious tensions that plague us still.
